Royal Liberty Morris are a mixed side based in Hornchurch, Essex, UK. Unlike many Morris Teams, who dance only one style or Tradition, we dance Cotswold, Molly and Border Morris each with equal enthusiasm, vigour, spectacle... and scaffold poles.

Well the Morris Season has kicked-off in earnest now with a highly entertaining St Georges Day last Wednesday at the Royal Oak, South Ockendon. Great fun was had by all - a big thank-you to all the willing (and the less willing!) volunteers who joined us for a mass Shepherd's Hey! More pics in the photo gallery. Congratulations to the organisers of this event - we all had a whale of a time!
With St Georges Day falling midweek this year many events held fire until the weekend. We danced throughout the day at Romford Market which was a festival of red and white - the Bunting Tosser must have been up in the wee hours!
With the Gigs now coming in thick and fast Royal Liberty Morris will be at the annual Rochester Sweeps Festival this Saturday and then Rainham May Day celebrations on the Bank Holiday Monday... and I thought this was meant to be a leisurely pursuit - that's 4 gigs in 12 days!
